In fall 2019, SomaDerm® gel switched to new packaging. Today it comes in an airless pump bottle. This guide explains what the current bottle and label look like, how the pump and seal work, and what to check when your order arrives. All details come from the SomaDerm® product label and New U Life’s own pages.

The current bottle at a glance
- Container: an airless pump bottle. New U Life’s SomaDerm page describes it as the “New Airless Pump.”
- Size: net wt. 3.4 oz (96 g).
- Product type on the label: a homeopathic transdermal gel, with New U Life and SomaDerm® named on the front panel.
- Safety seal: the label says “Sealed for your protection.” Do not use the product if the seal is broken or has been tampered with.
- Label details: the label says “Manufactured for: New U Life, Pleasant Hill, CA.” It also notes that SOMADERM is a licensed trademark of XygenyX.
The U.S. National Library of Medicine’s DailyMed label database lists this package as “96 g in 1 bottle, pump,” with a marketing start date of September 18, 2019. That fits the fall 2019 switch this post first reported.
What’s printed on the label
The back label follows the standard over-the-counter “Drug Facts” layout. SomaDerm® is labeled as a homeopathic product. You’ll find:
- Active ingredients: three homeopathic ingredients, each listed with an “X” dilution designation.
- Inactive ingredients: the gel base, preservatives and botanical ingredients such as aloe, green tea, licorice root, chaste tree, epimedium, ginkgo, mucuna pruriens and wild yam.
- Warnings, directions and storage (covered below).

How the airless pump fits the directions
The label directions are measured in full pumps. For standard use, apply two full pumps in the morning and two in the evening, five days on and two days off. Apply the gel to thin areas of skin, such as the underarms, forearms, wrists or behind the knees, and rotate where you apply it. The label also gives an intensive-use option. When your bottle arrives: a quick checklist
- Check the seal. If it’s broken or looks tampered with, don’t use the product. Contact New U Life before sending anything back.
- Check the label. It should name New U Life and SomaDerm®, say “homeopathic transdermal gel,” and show net wt. 3.4 oz (96 g).
- Keep your packing slip. New U Life’s return process asks for a return form with your order number and customer ID.
- Report problems promptly. New U Life asks customers to report lost orders and missing or damaged products within 30 calendar days of purchase.
Storage and shelf life
The label says to store SomaDerm® between 48 and 78 degrees, in a cool, dry place away from sunlight. New U Life states a shelf life of three years. Keep the bottle out of reach of children. If the gel is swallowed, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.
Returns depend on the seal
Under New U Life’s customer return policy, return or refund requests must be made within 60 calendar days of purchase. You can mail back an unused bottle with the plastic seal unbroken, along with your packing slip or return form. If the seal has been broken, contact New U Life first. Shipping costs aren’t refundable, and a 25% restocking fee applies to orders of two or more bottles. See ordering and returns for the details. New U Life’s official policy page controls.
Where the bottle comes from matters
New U Life sells SomaDerm® through its independent distributors, and New U Life ships the orders. Its policy says it is not responsible for refunding purchases made through third-party vendors.
